iKey also manufacture devices to reduce the risk of failure in hazardous areas. The intrinsically safe DT-1000-IS is a full-size desktop keyboard that features a stainless steel case and a sealed industrial silicone rubber keypad.

This intrinsically safe keyboard has a Factory Mutual approval for Class I, II and III, Division I, Groups C, D, E, F and G. It includes optical isolated barriers and bulkhead cables for complete protection in hazardous locations.

The DT-1000 has 24 function keys and a 10-key number pad which allows the user wide versatility.

Furthermore, the DT-1000-IS is designed to meet NEMA 4X specifications, making it resistant to dust, dirt, water and corrosive liquids.
